Pay: $20.00–$26.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Location: Tulsa, OK Area
Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Structural Welder with strong 3G Flux Core welding skills to join a busy fabrication team. This position is responsible for fitting and welding structural steel components according to blueprints, weld symbols, and project specifications.
The ideal candidate has previous structural welding experience, can produce consistent high-quality welds, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Candidates must successfully complete the required hands-on weld test.
Required Experience & Skills
• Previous structural welding experience required
• Strong 3G Flux Core welding skills
• MIG welding experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols
• Experience fitting and aligning structural steel components
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools and fabrication equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to successfully complete the required weld test
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform 3G Flux Core welding on structural steel components
• Complete MIG root passes according to welding requirements
• Fit, align, and weld structural assemblies according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions
• Measure and verify components prior to and during fabrication
• Produce consistent welds that meet established quality requirements
• Inspect completed welds for visible defects, accuracy, and workmanship
• Identify and correct welding or fit-up issues as needed
• Safely operate welding machines, grinders, and related fabrication equipment
• Maintain productivity while meeting project and production deadlines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required PPE
• Work collaboratively with fabrication and production personnel
• Perform additional structural welding and fabrication duties as assigned
Weld Test Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete a:
• 3G MIG / Flux Core Weld Test
• MIG Root
• Flux Core Fill and Cap
• Completed weld must meet required quality and inspection standards
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous heavy structural steel fabrication experience
• Advanced Flux Core welding experience
• Strong MIG root experience
• Blueprint and weld symbol interpretation skills
• Structural fitting and layout experience
• Experience working in a high-production fabrication shop
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and working in multiple welding positions
• Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable working around structural steel, welding equipment, grinders, heat, sparks, and industrial machinery
• Ability to perform physically demanding fabrication work throughout an extended shift
Work Environment
• Industrial structural welding and fabrication environment
• Hands-on work involving structural steel, MIG and Flux Core welding equipment, grinders, and fabrication tools
• Fast-paced production setting focused on safety, weld quality, and productivity
• Regular collaboration with Fitters, Welders, and production personnel
• Overtime opportunities may be available based on production needs
