Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable A-Frame Assembly Technician to join a heat exchanger manufacturing team in Claremore. This position is responsible for assembling structural frames, supports, brackets, and related components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and established quality standards.
The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing or assembly experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to accurately measure, align, and fit structural components while maintaining high standards for quality and safety.
Required Experience & Skills
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or heat exchanger experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Basic knowledge of measuring devices and dimensional tolerances
• Ability to accurately use tape measures, squares, levels, and related measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Assemble heat exchanger frames, supports, brackets, and structural components according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions
• Measure, align, position, and fit frame components accurately
• Use tape measures, squares, levels, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
• Verify dimensional accuracy and proper alignment before releasing assemblies to the next production stage
• Prepare completed assemblies for welding, brazing, coil installation, and final assembly operations
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality standards are met
• Identify and report material defects, equipment issues, or quality concerns
• Complete required production and quality documentation accurately
• Assist with moving and handling frames, materials, and structural components as needed
• Maintain clean and organized work areas according to 5S standards
• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, efficiency, and product quality
• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and production procedures
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous structural or mechanical assembly experience
• Heat exchanger manufacturing experience
• Metal fabrication experience
• Experience working from engineering drawings and bills of materials
• Familiarity with dimensional tolerances and quality inspection procedures
• Experience preparing assemblies for welding or other fabrication processes
Physical Requirements
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive physical activity
• Ability to safely handle large frame components and structural materials
• Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
• Industrial manufacturing and heat exchanger fabrication facility
• Hands-on assembly of structural frames and support components
• Regular use of hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and material-handling equipment
• Fast-paced production environment focused on safety, dimensional accuracy, quality, and productivity
• Team-oriented workplace supporting welding, brazing, coil installation, and final assembly operations
