Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ASME Box Header Welder (Class A) to join a growing fabrication team in Sapulpa. This position is responsible for fabricating and welding high-quality box header assemblies while meeting strict ASME code requirements. The ideal candidate has advanced welding skills, experience with pressure vessel or header fabrication, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and precision.
Required Experience & Skills
Class A welding experience required
Proven experience fabricating and welding ASME box headers
Strong knowledge of ASME welding codes, procedures, and quality standards
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds
Strong understanding of welding safety practices and fabrication procedures
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform root pass welding on header assemblies
Complete end block welding with precision and accuracy
Execute nozzle attachment welding according to engineering specifications
Fabricate and assemble box header components to blueprint and ASME requirements
Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with ASME codes and customer quality standards
Perform visual inspections and make corrections as needed to maintain weld integrity
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures, welding procedures, and quality standards
Collaborate with production personnel to meet manufacturing schedules and quality expectations
Preferred Qualifications
Previous pressure vessel, heat exchanger, or heavy industrial fabrication experience
Experience working in ASME-certified manufacturing environments
Familiarity with welding procedure specifications (WPS) and quality documentation
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in various welding positions throughout the shift
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Ability to safely operate welding equipment while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working around heat, sparks, heavy steel materials, and fabrication equipment
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing and fabrication facility
Exposure to welding equipment, heat, sparks, heavy materials, and shop noise
Safety-focused workplace requiring PPE compliance at all times
Overtime opportunities may be available based on production demands
