Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced Brake Press Operators to join a growing manufacturing team in Neosho. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake equipment to bend, shape, and form sheet metal and plate into precision components according to blueprints and production specifications.
The ideal candidate has metal fabrication experience, strong measuring skills, and the ability to independently produce accurate, high-quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
• Previous brake press or similar metal fabrication equipment experience preferred
• 1–3 years of metal fabrication or CNC press brake experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Ability to safely handle sheet metal and plate materials
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable attendance and safety-focused work habits
• High school diploma or GED preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to produce precision metal components
• Select and install appropriate tooling, including punches and dies
• Adjust machine settings, back gauges, and CNC programs according to production requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and fabrication specifications
• Load, align, and secure metal sheets and plates safely into the machine
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy
• Inspect completed parts using calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other measuring tools
• Verify finished components meet dimensional and quality requirements
• Perform basic machine upkeep and report equipment concerns as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous CNC press brake operating experience
• Experience selecting and setting up press brake tooling
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
• Experience working in a metal fabrication or precision manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing approximately 25–70 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive physical activity
• Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment

• Metal fabrication and manufacturing facility

• Exposure to CNC press brakes, sheet metal, fabrication tools, and industrial machinery
