Shift: Monday–Friday | Approximately 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced CDL Truck Driver to join a Tulsa operation. This position is responsible for safely transporting materials while operating manual-transmission commercial trucks and maintaining full compliance with DOT and company safety requirements.
This opening is being filled to replace a current driver and requires someone who is comfortable and experienced operating 10-speed and 13-speed manual transmissions. The ideal candidate has a strong driving record, dependable attendance, and a professional approach when interacting with customers and representing the company.
Required Experience & Skills
• Valid CDL license required
• Manual transmission endorsement required
• Experience operating 10-speed manual transmissions
• Experience operating 13-speed manual transmissions
• Previous commercial truck driving experience
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial driving requirements
• Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Strong commitment to safe driving practices
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to maintain accurate driving logs and required documentation
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and responsibly throughout assigned routes
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Safely operate company commercial vehicles
• Drive manual-transmission trucks according to assigned transportation needs
• Operate 10-speed and 13-speed manual transmissions confidently and safely
• Transport materials to assigned customer, facility, or project locations
• Verify loads and delivery information before departure
• Conduct required pre-trip vehicle inspections
• Perform post-trip inspections at the completion of assigned work
• Identify and report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns
• Follow all DOT regulations and company transportation policies
• Maintain required driving logs and documentation
• Complete delivery and transportation paperwork accurately
• Communicate delays, equipment concerns, or delivery issues to appropriate personnel
• Maintain company vehicles in safe and professional condition
• Provide professional customer service when representing the company
• Perform additional driving and transportation responsibilities as assigned
Manual Transmission Requirements
This position specifically requires experience operating commercial vehicles with manual transmissions.
Candidates must be comfortable with:
• 10-speed transmissions
• 13-speed transmissions
• Proper shifting techniques
• Commercial vehicle maneuvering
• Safe operation in varying traffic and road conditions
Candidates restricted to automatic-transmission commercial vehicles will not meet the stated requirements for this position.
DOT & Safety Responsibilities
• Maintain compliance with applicable DOT requirements
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and required transportation records
• Follow company vehicle and transportation safety procedures
• Report mechanical or safety concerns promptly
• Operate vehicles according to traffic laws and company policies
• Maintain safe driving practices throughout every assigned route
• Ensure assigned equipment is safe before beginning transportation duties
Preferred Qualifications
• Extensive CDL driving experience
• Previous local or regional delivery experience
• Experience transporting industrial or manufacturing materials
• 10-speed and 13-speed driving experience
• Strong commercial vehicle inspection knowledge
• Previous customer-facing delivery experience
• Experience maintaining DOT logs and transportation documentation
• Clean or strong driving record
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
• Ability to safely enter and exit commercial vehicles throughout the workday
• Ability to perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Ability to bend, reach, climb, and move around commercial equipment as required
• Ability to safely perform transportation-related physical duties throughout the shift
• Ability to maintain alertness and concentration while operating commercial vehicles
Work Environment
• Commercial transportation and delivery environment
• Regular operation of manual-transmission commercial trucks
• Combination of driving, vehicle inspection, documentation, and customer interaction
• Work performed in varying traffic, road, and weather conditions
• Safety-sensitive position requiring consistent compliance with DOT and company requirements
• Stable Monday–Friday daytime schedule
