Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Deburr Technician to join a precision manufacturing team in Claremore. This position is responsible for deburring, finishing, and inspecting machined metal components to ensure they meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and company quality standards.
The ideal candidate has experience working with machined metal parts, precision measuring tools, and finishing equipment while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous experience deburring and finishing machined metal components required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, grinders, files, sanders, and deburring equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from machined components using hand tools, grinders, files, sanders, and deburring equipment
Inspect parts for defects and verify compliance with blueprints and engineering specifications
Measure finished components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
Perform surface finishing and polishing operations to meet customer and quality requirements
Identify and report defects, quality concerns, or non-conforming materials to supervisors
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following company housekeeping standards
Work closely with machinists, quality inspectors, and production personnel to maintain efficient workflow
Follow all company safety procedures and quality control guidelines
Meet production schedules while maintaining high standards of workmanship and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in precision machining or metal fabrication environments
Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and blueprint interpretation
Experience with surface finishing and polishing techniques
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements throughout the shift
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around machining equipment and metal components
Work Environment
Precision machining and manufacturing facility
Fast-paced production environment focused on quality, safety, and efficiency
Exposure to machined metal parts, finishing equipment, grinders, and industrial machinery
