Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a licensed Electrical Journeyman to join a growing commercial electrical contractor in Tulsa. Due to continued growth and high demand, this company is expanding its team to support a variety of commercial remodeling and renovation projects throughout the Tulsa area.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced commercial electricians seeking long-term stability, with the potential to transition to permanent employment based on performance.
Required Experience & Skills
Unlimited Oklahoma Electrical Journeyman License required
Ability to pass a 7-year background check
Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen
Commitment to a zero-tolerance drug and theft policy
Reliable transportation (company vehicle provided after permanent hire)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Reliable attendance and professional work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform commercial electrical installations, remodels, and service work
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial electrical systems
Complete electrical finish-out work on active construction projects
Assist with commercial building conversions and renovation projects
Install, repair, and maintain 120V 480V electrical systems
Read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and specifications
Follow all electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Preferred Qualifications
Commercial electrical experience strongly preferred
Experience working on car washes, hotels, apartment complexes, and commercial remodels
Previous remodel or tenant improvement experience
Newly licensed Journeymen are encouraged to apply (training provided for motivated candidates)
Experience working around lifts, ladders, confined spaces, and commercial construction environments
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working overhead
Ability to safely work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Comfortable working around energized equipment while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Commercial construction and remodeling projects throughout the Tulsa area
Work on 120V 480V electrical systems in commercial buildings
Exposure to ladders, lifts, confined spaces, and active construction sites
Permits and inspections are managed by the employer, allowing electricians to focus on installation and service work
