Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable Grounds Crew associates to support a large outdoor seasonal event in Tulsa. This hands-on position is responsible for assisting with event setup, maintaining clean and safe grounds, supporting logistics, and helping ensure the event operates smoothly from start to finish.
The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable performing physical labor, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, event setup, or general labor experience preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with the setup and breakdown of tents, tables, fencing, signage, and other outdoor event infrastructure
Maintain clean event grounds by collecting trash and servicing common areas
Assist with restroom upkeep and general site cleanliness
Monitor grounds for safety hazards and report maintenance concerns promptly
Support logistics teams with deliveries, equipment placement, and material movement
Operate light equipment such as utility carts, leaf blowers, and pressure washers as assigned
Provide general labor support to event staff, vendors, and operations personnel
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift certification or equipment operating experience
Basic carpentry or handyman skills
Previous experience working large outdoor festivals, fairs, or special events
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, or wet weather conditions
Ability to safely operate light equipment while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Outdoor seasonal event venue
Fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with event staff, vendors, and logistics teams
Exposure to changing weather conditions, outdoor equipment, and heavy foot traffic
Team-oriented workplace focused on safety, organization, and customer experience
