Pay: Starting at $28.00 per hour (DOE)
Location: Catoosa, OK
Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced Header Welders to join a growing fabrication team in Catoosa. This position is responsible for welding header assemblies and heavy steel components while maintaining strict quality standards, production requirements, and workplace safety.
The ideal candidate has strong MIG and Flux Core welding experience, can interpret welding drawings, and consistently produces high-quality welds in a heavy industrial fabrication environment.
Required Experience & Skills
• Minimum 1 year of MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding experience OR graduation from an accredited welding trade school or welding program
• Ability to successfully complete the required welding test
• Ability to bevel 5/8-inch steel plate using a 9-inch grinder
• Ability to read welding prints, blueprints, and welding procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Commitment to workplace safety and fabrication standards
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Weld header assemblies and related structural components according to engineering specifications
• Perform MIG and Flux Core welding while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Read and interpret welding prints, blueprints, and fabrication drawings
• Prepare materials by grinding, beveling, fitting, and aligning components before welding
• Inspect completed welds to verify compliance with company quality standards
• Maintain welding equipment and workstations in proper operating condition
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe throughout the shift
• Follow all company safety procedures, welding standards, and fabrication requirements
• Perform additional welding and fabrication duties as assigned
Weld Test Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete:
• Open Root 3G MIG Weld Test
• Flux Core Fill and Cap
• Bevel 5/8-inch Steel Plate using a 9-inch grinder
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous Header Welding experience strongly preferred
• Experience working in heavy industrial fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing
• Knowledge of fabrication layout and welding best practices
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
• Ability to safely work around welding equipment, heavy steel, grinders, heat, sparks, and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding fabrication environment

• Heavy industrial fabrication and manufacturing facility
• Exposure to welding equipment, fabrication machinery, heavy steel materials, heat, sparks, grinding operations, and industrial noise
