Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a manufacturing operation in Claremore. This position is responsible for keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment installation, and continuous maintenance support.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This role requires someone who can diagnose equipment problems, complete repairs efficiently, and help minimize production downtime.
Required Experience & Skills
• Previous industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with fabrication techniques used for equipment repairs and modifications
• Understanding of OSHA requirements and industrial safety procedures
• Strong time-management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment problems
• Troubleshoot production machinery and identify causes of equipment breakdowns
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures and downtime
• Clean, lubricate, adjust, and inspect machinery according to maintenance schedules
• Repair or replace defective components including gears, bearings, valves, and related parts
• Reassemble and test equipment following repairs
• Install and assist with the startup of new machinery and production equipment
• Use diagnostic equipment, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot problems
• Fabricate or modify components using welding, cutting, and related techniques when required
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment issues
• Enter maintenance information into logs or CMMS systems as required
• Maintain tools, parts, and maintenance areas in clean and organized condition
• Follow all OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and equipment maintenance standards
• Perform additional industrial maintenance duties as assigned
Mechanical & Electrical Experience
Candidates should have working knowledge of:
• Industrial mechanical systems
• Electrical systems and components
• Hydraulic systems
• Pneumatic systems
• Bearings, gears, valves, and mechanical components
• Preventive maintenance procedures
• Equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Welding and cutting for maintenance repairs
• Blueprints and technical schematics
• Industrial machinery installation and repair
Preferred Qualifications
• Manufacturing or industrial plant maintenance experience
• Advanced mechanical troubleshooting experience
• Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience
• Hydraulic and pneumatic repair experience
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Experience installing or commissioning manufacturing equipment
• CMMS or computerized maintenance tracking experience
• Strong preventive maintenance background
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, climbing, and equipment access
• Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment, tools, and components as required
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and fabrication equipment
• Comfortable performing physically demanding maintenance work throughout an industrial facility
• Ability to respond to urgent equipment repairs and work overtime when required
Work Environment
• Industrial manufacturing and production facility
• Regular work around production machinery, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical equipment
• Hands-on position involving preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment installation
• May require overtime to respond to urgent repairs or production needs
• Safety-focused environment requiring strict adherence to OSHA and company procedures
