Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking motivated Laser Operators to join a growing manufacturing team. This opportunity is open to both experienced laser operators and mechanically inclined candidates interested in developing their skills through an apprenticeship and training program.
Starting pay is determined by previous laser experience, with opportunities for merit-based increases following the 90-day probationary period. The company also offers a strong benefits package, including 100% employer-paid employee medical premiums, profit sharing, and monthly performance bonuses.
Starting Pay Based on Experience
• No Laser Experience: $16.00–$17.00/hour while training through the apprenticeship program
• 1–2 Years of Laser Experience: $18.00–$19.00/hour
• 3–4 Years of Laser Experience: $20.00–$22.00/hour
• Employees are typically eligible for a merit-based pay increase after the 90-day probationary period
• All raises are based on individual performance and merit
Required Experience & Skills
• Previous laser operating experience preferred but not required
• Entry-level candidates must be willing to complete the apprenticeship and training program
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow work instructions and established production procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Willingness to work overtime when production demands require
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Operate laser cutting equipment according to production requirements and training level
• Load and prepare materials for laser cutting operations
• Monitor equipment throughout production runs
• Follow work orders and production instructions accurately
• Inspect completed parts for quality and accuracy
• Identify and report machine, material, or quality concerns
• Maintain production pace while meeting established quality standards
• Keep equipment and surrounding work areas clean and organized
• Follow all company safety procedures and equipment operating requirements
• Participate in training and skill development as required
• Perform additional laser operation and production duties as assigned
Apprenticeship Opportunity
Candidates without previous laser experience may be considered for the company's training and apprenticeship program.
This provides an opportunity to:

Work Schedule
• Monday through Friday
• Typical hours are 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Mandatory Saturday work may occasionally be required based on production needs
