Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Maintenance Helper to assist with general maintenance, facility repairs, and upkeep at a manufacturing facility in Sapulpa. This position supports maintenance technicians by helping ensure equipment, work areas, and facility systems remain clean, safe, and operating efficiently.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and enjoys hands-on work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Required Experience & Skills
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous maintenance, janitorial, warehouse, or construction experience is a plus
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist maintenance technicians with routine maintenance and repair projects
• Perform general housekeeping and cleanup of maintenance and work areas
• Move tools, materials, and equipment as needed throughout the facility
• Support preventive maintenance activities on equipment and facility systems
• Inspect work areas and report maintenance concerns or safety hazards
• Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe, and working condition
• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and maintenance protocols
• Complete additional maintenance and facility support tasks as assigned by supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing environments
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices
• Experience operating basic shop tools and equipment
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing throughout the shift
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding maintenance tasks while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
• Industrial manufacturing and maintenance facility
• Combination of indoor and outdoor work environments
• Exposure to maintenance equipment, machinery, tools, and industrial operations
• Safety-focused workplace emphasizing teamwork and continuous improvement
