Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Broken Arrow. This direct hire position is responsible for supporting the design, development, and execution of pressure vessel and manufacturing projects while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, sales, customers, suppliers, and certification agencies.

The ideal candidate has experience designing ASME pressure vessels, is proficient with Codeware Compress and SolidWorks, and thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Required Experience & Skills
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering required
3+ years of engineering design and CAD experience
2+ years of experience using Codeware Compress and SolidWorks
Experience with ERP/MRP systems
Knowledge of quality management systems including ASME, API, and/or ISO requirements
Strong blueprint interpretation and engineering documentation skills
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Safety-first mindset with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Design and draft ASME pressure vessels using Codeware Compress, SolidWorks, and other engineering software
Create detailed engineering drawings from sketches, layouts, and customer requirements
Develop engineering documentation supporting manufacturing and certification processes
Respond to daily requests for drawings, diagrams, reports, presentations, and technical documentation
Perform mechanical inspections using appropriate measuring tools and visual inspection methods
Participate in meetings with customers, vendors, suppliers, and internal departments as needed
Prepare certification documentation and coordinate with outside Professional Engineering (PE) firms and certification agencies
Ensure all engineering work complies with company safety procedures and applicable industry standards
Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and operations teams to support project execution and production efficiency
Perform additional engineering duties and special projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration
Previous experience designing pressure vessels or industrial process equipment
Experience supporting manufacturing operations and production improvements
Strong understanding of ASME code requirements and certification processes
Physical Requirements
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 50 lbs as needed
Ability to move between office, engineering, and manufacturing environments throughout the workday
Ability to perform mechanical inspections in an industrial setting while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments as projects require
Work Environment
Engineering office with regular interaction in a manufacturing facility
Collaborative environment involving engineering, production, sales, quality, customers, and vendors
