Shift: Monday Friday | 6: 00 AM 4: 30 PM
Saturday: 5: 00 AM 10: 00 AM, as needed (Not every Saturday required)

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quad Sub Arc Welder to join a growing manufacturing team in Sapulpa. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Quad Wire Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) equipment to produce high-quality welds on heavy steel components while meeting engineering specifications, production schedules, and strict quality standards.
The ideal candidate has experience with submerged arc welding, strong blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to producing precision welds in a heavy industrial fabrication environment.
Required Experience & Skills
High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum 2 years of submerged arc welding experience required
Quad Wire SAW experience strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, work orders, and technical drawings
Knowledge of welding procedures, equipment setup, and quality inspection methods
Experience working with carbon steel and heavy plate materials
Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, and weld gauges
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Set up and operate Quad Wire Submerged Arc welding equipment according to production specifications
Perform submerged arc welding on heavy steel structures, pressure vessels, pipe, and fabricated components
Adjust voltage, amperage, wire feed speed, and travel speed to achieve optimal weld quality
Inspect completed welds for defects and verify compliance with customer and quality requirements
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding procedures (WPS)
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment
Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and other material handling equipment as required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and quality standards
Weld Test Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete:
1-inch plate weld test (root weld provided)
Single Wire Sub Arc weld test
Weld must successfully pass X-Ray and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspection
Preferred Qualifications
AWS welding certifications
Experience in heavy industrial, structural steel, pressure vessel, wind tower, or pipe manufacturing environments
Overhead crane and forklift experience
Familiarity with automated or robotic welding systems
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in industrial environments for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Ability to work safely in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the shift
Work Environment
Heavy industrial manufacturing and fabrication facility
Exposure to welding equipment, heat, sparks, welding fumes, heavy steel materials, and shop noise
Safety-focused environment requiring PPE at all times
Overtime opportunities available based on production schedules
