Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join a manufacturing team in Pryor. This position is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, in-process production, and finished products meet company quality standards and customer specifications through thorough inspections and accurate documentation.
The ideal candidate has experience in quality inspection, is proficient with precision measuring instruments, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the manufacturing process.
Required Experience & Skills
High school diploma or GED required
Previous manufacturing quality inspection experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
Knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection techniques
Experience using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills for data entry and report preparation
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Inspect raw materials, components, in-process production, and finished products for compliance with quality standards
Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment
Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation and reports
Identify defects, non-conformities, and quality issues during production
Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and production personnel promptly
Conduct first-article, in-process, and final product inspections
Review blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to verify product requirements
Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing environments
Familiarity with quality management systems and inspection documentation
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance principles
Experience participating in corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive inspection activities
Ability to wear required PPE while working in manufacturing environments
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing and production facility
Fast-paced environment focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement
Regular exposure to manufacturing equipment, production operations, and inspection tools
Occasional overtime may be required based on production demands
