Shift: 1st Shift | Monday Friday | 7: 00 AM 3: 30 PM (Occasional Saturdays Required)

Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join a precision machine shop in Joplin. This position is responsible for inspecting manufactured components, performing quality audits, and ensuring products meet company specifications as well as ISO and AS9000 quality standards.
The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing quality assurance, is proficient with precision measuring instruments, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of product quality and continuous improvement.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous QA/QC experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment required
Strong understanding of quality inspection processes and quality audits
Experience using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
Ability to interpret inspection data and prepare accurate quality documentation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Reliable transportation required
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to verify compliance with company and customer specifications
Conduct quality audits and document findings to identify improvement opportunities
Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment
Monitor compliance with ISO and AS9000 quality standards
Follow and support HACCP protocols where applicable
Analyze inspection results and prepare detailed quality reports
Work closely with production personnel to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
Assist with maintaining and improving quality management systems
Ensure all inspection records and documentation remain accurate and complete
Perform additional quality assurance duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in precision machining or CNC manufacturing environments
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9000, or other aerospace quality standards
Experience performing internal quality audits and root cause analysis
Strong computer and documentation skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and inspect parts throughout the workday
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent use of precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment
Must wear required PPE while working in manufacturing areas
Work Environment
Precision machine shop and manufacturing facility
Fast-paced production environment focused on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Exposure to CNC equipment, machining operations, and industrial production processes
Occasional Saturday work may be required based on production demands
