Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable and hardworking Shipping Associate to join a busy warehouse operation in Tulsa. This position is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, loading and unloading trucks, receiving incoming materials, organizing inventory, and supporting accurate and efficient order fulfillment.
The ideal candidate has previous forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Previous forklift experience is required for this position.

• Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Prepare outgoing customer orders for shipment
• Package products according to shipping requirements
• Verify products and quantities before shipment
• Load outgoing trucks using a forklift and other material-handling equipment
• Unload incoming trucks safely and efficiently
• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments for accuracy
• Inspect received materials for visible damage or discrepancies
• Complete and verify required shipping and receiving documentation
• Pick and stage orders for shipment
• Move materials throughout the warehouse using a forklift
• Organize inventory and maintain designated storage locations
• Assist with maintaining accurate inventory and material flow
• Communicate shipment or material concerns to appropriate personnel
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse areas
• Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse guidelines
• Perform additional shipping, receiving, and warehouse duties as assigned
Shipping Responsibilities
• Prepare and package outgoing products
• Verify shipment contents against order information
• Stage completed orders for pickup or delivery
• Ensure required shipping documentation is complete
• Load trucks safely using a forklift
• Maintain organized shipping and staging areas
• Help ensure orders leave the facility accurately and on schedule
Receiving Responsibilities
• Unload incoming deliveries
• Inspect materials for damage
• Verify received products and quantities
• Identify and report shipment discrepancies
• Move received materials to appropriate warehouse locations
• Maintain organized inventory storage areas
• Assist with receiving documentation and recordkeeping
Forklift & Material Handling
Forklift operation is an important part of this position. Candidates must have previous experience safely operating a forklift in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, or similar environment.
Responsibilities may include:
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Moving and staging outgoing shipments
• Transporting incoming materials
• Organizing inventory
• Moving products between warehouse areas
• Safely handling materials according to company procedures
Preferred Qualifications
• Shipping Associate experience
• Shipping and receiving experience
• Warehouse or distribution experience
• Forklift operating experience
• Order pulling and staging experience
• Inventory or material-handling experience
• Experience preparing and verifying shipping documentation
• Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Physical Requirements
• Ability to consistently lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts throughout the workday
• Ability to safely handle warehouse materials and packaged products
• Comfortable performing physically active warehouse work throughout the shift
• Ability to safely work around forklifts, trucks, and other material-handling equipment
Work Environment
• Warehouse, shipping, and receiving environment
• Regular interaction with forklifts, trucks, inventory, packaged products, and material-handling equipment
• Hands-on position combining shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory responsibilities
• Fast-paced environment requiring consistent attention to safety and accuracy
• Team-oriented workplace requiring effective communication between warehouse and shipping personnel
• Stable Monday–Friday daytime schedule
