Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Shipping Associate to join a growing manufacturing team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for preparing and packaging metal products for shipment, coordinating outbound deliveries, maintaining shipping documentation, and ensuring orders are shipped accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has experience working in a warehouse or shipping environment with industrial materials.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
Ability to safely operate or learn forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and hoists
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to accurately complete shipping documentation
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare and package metal products including sheets, bars, rods, coils, and related materials for shipment
Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, or hoists
Generate and verify packing lists, bills of lading, shipping labels, and other shipping documentation
Inspect products for damage and verify shipments meet customer order specifications
Coordinate with sales, production, and logistics teams to ensure on-time shipments
Schedule pickups and deliveries with LTL carriers, freight companies, and local delivery services
Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting outgoing shipments
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shipping area
Assist with receiving and other warehouse duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience shipping industrial or metal products
Forklift or overhead crane operating experience
Knowledge of shipping documentation and freight coordination
Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working around industrial materials, warehouse equipment, and production operations
Work Environment
Industrial warehouse and manufacturing facility
Fast-paced shipping and logistics environment focused on safety, accuracy, and efficiency
Exposure to forklifts, cranes, hoists, metal products, and shipping operations
Team-oriented workplace supporting production, inventory, and customer fulfillment
