Location: Tulsa, OK
Shift: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Schedule: 4x10 | Four-Day Workweek
Overtime: Saturday Overtime Available

Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable Shop Helpers / Boiler Tube Cleaners for an immediate short-term industrial project in Tulsa. This position is primarily responsible for cleaning flash rust from boiler tubes while also assisting shop personnel with general labor and cleanup responsibilities.
This project is expected to last approximately two weeks, making it a great opportunity for candidates looking for immediate work and additional industrial shop experience.
Previous piping, vessel, heat exchanger, boiler, or similar industrial experience is a plus but not required. Candidates must be dependable, physically capable of performing hands-on shop work, and available to start immediately.

• Appropriate industrial work clothing required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Clean flash rust from boiler tubes
• Prepare tubes and components for subsequent production processes
• Inspect cleaned areas for remaining surface rust
• Reclean areas when required
• Handle and position boiler tubes as directed
• Assist shop personnel with general labor activities
• Move and stage materials as required
• Assist with basic material handling
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Remove debris and potential hazards from shop areas
• Follow supervisor instructions
• Follow all company safety procedures
• Wear required PPE throughout applicable work activities
• Perform additional shop and general labor duties as assigned
Boiler Tube Cleaning
The primary responsibility of this position is removing flash rust from boiler tubes.
Candidates should be prepared to:
• Work directly with boiler tube materials
• Perform repetitive surface-cleaning activities
• Maintain consistent cleaning quality
• Inspect surfaces during the cleaning process
• Identify areas requiring additional cleaning
• Handle tubes carefully to prevent unnecessary damage
• Maintain steady productivity throughout the shift
Industrial Shop Support
When tube-cleaning work allows, Shop Helpers may assist with:
• General shop cleanup
• Material movement
• Component staging
• Tool and work-area organization
• Production support
• General labor
• Other basic shop responsibilities
Candidates should be willing to help wherever needed throughout the project.

• Boiler manufacturing experience
• Boiler tube experience
• Piping experience
• Pressure vessel experience
• Heat exchanger experience
• Industrial fabrication experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Shop Helper experience
• General industrial labor experience
• Previous metal-cleaning or surface-preparation experience
Related industrial experience is helpful but not required.
Required PPE & Work Attire
• Steel-toe work boots required
• Appropriate industrial work clothing required
• Additional PPE must be worn as required by the facility
• Candidates must follow all shop-specific safety requirements
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a 10-hour shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements during tube cleaning
• Manual dexterity required for cleaning and material handling
• Comfortable performing physically active industrial work throughout the shift
• Ability to safely handle boiler tubes and related materials
• Ability to wear all required PPE
Work Environment
• Industrial shop environment
• Regular work around boiler tubes, fabricated components, tools, and production equipment
• Hands-on position involving repetitive surface cleaning and general labor
• Consistent Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule
• Saturday overtime opportunities available
