Pay: $21.00 per hour (DOE – $18.00–$22.00/hour)
Location: Tulsa, OK 74145
Shift: Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Structural Welder / Fabricator to join a growing fabrication team in East Tulsa. This position is responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating structural components from raw materials, and performing high-quality welding on steel structures, including meter houses and related industrial equipment.
The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient fabricator who can independently layout, fit, weld, and troubleshoot fabrication challenges while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.
Required Experience & Skills
• Minimum 2 years of structural welding and fabrication experience required
• Proven experience as a structural welder/fabricator
• Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols
• Experience performing MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding on structural steel
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication methods and welding procedures
• Experience working with pipe materials, diameters, wall thicknesses, and grading systems
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production specifications
• Perform layout, cutting, preparation, fit-up, and welding of structural steel components
• Complete MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding on structural assemblies
• Fabricate and weld steel siding and R-Panel components for meter houses
• Make real-time adjustments during fabrication to ensure proper fit and assembly
• Inspect completed work to verify compliance with quality and dimensional standards
• Maintain production efficiency while following company safety procedures
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Perform additional fabrication and welding duties as assigned
Weld Test Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete:
• 3G Plate Weld Test on ¾-inch plate (No run-off tabs)
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in oil & gas or industrial construction environments
• Experience fabricating meter houses or working with R-Panel systems (training available for motivated candidates)
• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and industrial piping systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fabrication troubleshooting skills
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
• Ability to safely work around welding equipment, heavy steel, sparks, heat, and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding fabrication environment

• Heavy industrial fabrication and manufacturing facility
• Exposure to welding equipment, fabrication machinery, structural steel, industrial tools, heat, sparks, and noise
• Fast-paced production environment focused on safety, precision, and quality craftsmanship
