Pay: $24.00 per hour
Location: Sapulpa, OK 74066
Shift: Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 3:30 AM (Occasional Saturdays)

Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Structural Welder for a leading production facility in Sapulpa. This position is responsible for performing high-quality structural welding and fabrication using MIG and Flux Core welding processes while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has experience in structural steel fabrication, is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and takes pride in producing strong, accurate welds.
Required Experience & Skills
• Minimum 1 year of welding experience or graduation from an accredited welding program
• Experience performing MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) structural welding
• Ability to operate welding and cutting equipment, including plasma cutters, oxy-fuel torches, and AC/DC welding machines
• Experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Knowledge of safe welding practices and OSHA standards
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding on structural steel components
• Set up and adjust welding equipment according to production specifications
• Complete fillet, tack, and full-penetration welds that meet quality standards
• Clean, grind, and prepare welded materials as needed
• Operate overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely
• Inspect completed welds for quality, penetration, and structural integrity
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Report equipment issues, production concerns, or quality problems to supervisors promptly
• Follow all company safety policies and production procedures
Weld Test Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete:
• 3G Butt Plate Weld Test
• Flux Core (FCAW) fill and cap
• Back gouge required
• Single-pass root weld
Preferred Qualifications
• Structural steel fabrication experience
• Experience reading blueprints and welding symbols
• Overhead crane experience
• Ability to work independently while meeting production deadlines
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various welding positions throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable working around heavy steel materials, heat, sparks, and industrial machinery
Work Environment
• Heavy industrial manufacturing and fabrication facility
• Exposure to welding equipment, heat, sparks, welding fumes, and shop noise
• Safety-focused workplace requiring PPE at all times
• Overtime opportunities, including occasional Saturdays, based on production demands
