Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Structural Welders to join a fabrication team in Tulsa, OK. This role focuses on performing 3G welding on 1/2-inch plate using MIG root and Flux Core fill and cap, while maintaining high standards for quality, consistency, and structural integrity.
The ideal Structural Welder has proven welding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to pass the required weld test.
Required Experience & Skills
Ability to pass a 3G weld test on 1/2-inch plate
Experience with MIG root and Flux Core fill/cap processes
Ability to successfully pass a bend test (no X-ray required)
Previous structural welding experience preferred
Ability to read a tape measure accurately
Ability to follow blueprints, welding procedures, and specifications
Strong attention to detail and weld quality
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic REQUIRED
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform 3G welding on 1/2-inch plate using MIG root and Flux Core fill/cap
Prepare materials and ensure proper fit-up before welding
Follow welding procedures, specifications, and quality standards
Inspect completed welds for defects and structural integrity
Maintain weld quality sufficient to meet bend test requirements
Read and follow basic prints, work instructions, and specifications
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
Follow all company safety policies and welding procedures

1/2-inch Plate
MIG Root Pass
Flux Core Fill and Cap
Bend Test Required
No X-Ray Required
Work Environment
Structural steel fabrication and welding shop
Fast-paced, production-driven environment
Exposure to welding equipment, fabrication tools, and industrial materials
Physically active role requiring standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement throughout the shift
