Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Valve Technician to join a growing industrial team in Broken Arrow. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and calibration of a variety of industrial valve systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience working with industrial valve systems in fast-paced environments.
Required Experience & Skills
High school diploma or GED required (Associate degree or technical certification is a plus)
Previous experience as a Valve Technician or in a similar industrial mechanical role
Strong understanding of industrial valve systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques
Familiarity with manual, automatic, pneumatic, and hydraulic valve applications
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Proficiency using mechanical tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Install, maintain, repair, and replace a variety of industrial valves, including ball, gate, globe, check, and pressure relief valves
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on valve systems
Troubleshoot valve malfunctions and complete necessary repairs or replacements
Test and calibrate valves to ensure proper performance and compliance with operational requirements
Verify valve performance under pressure and flow conditions
Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, calibration, and inspection records
Follow all company safety procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
Perform risk assessments and safety inspections on valve systems and equipment
Respond to emergency service calls involving valve failures or operational issues
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and maintenance personnel to resolve technical issues
Provide professional customer service and technical support during field assignments
Preferred Qualifications
Technical certification or associate degree in a mechanical or industrial field
Experience working in manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation, or industrial processing facilities
Strong knowledge of pressure testing and valve calibration procedures
Experience working with industrial maintenance documentation and quality systems
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials throughout the workday
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in physically demanding conditions
Comfortable working in confined spaces and at elevated heights when required
Ability to work safely in industrial environments and varying weather conditions while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing and mechanical service environment
Fast-paced setting requiring precision, safety, and attention to detail
Exposure to industrial equipment, mechanical systems, and outdoor conditions as needed
Collaborative team environment supporting maintenance and production operations
