Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fitter to join a growing fabrication team in Tulsa, OK. This role is responsible for assembling, fitting, and preparing components to precise specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
The ideal Fitter has extensive fitting experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
5+ years of fitting experience preferred
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
Proficiency using measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, squares, and layout tools
Experience with structural, pipe, or mechanical fitting applications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic REQUIRED
Ability to follow safety procedures and manufacturing standards
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
Measure, cut, and prepare materials for assembly and fabrication
Fit and assemble metal, structural, or mechanical components according to specifications
Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and efficiently
Verify dimensions, alignments, and tolerances throughout the fitting process
Inspect completed work and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and production requirements
Support production schedules and project deadlines
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods throughout the shift
Comfortable working in fabrication shops, manufacturing facilities, and outdoor environments when required
Ability to safely use fabrication tools and equipment
Work Environment
Manufacturing and fabrication environment
Exposure to fabrication equipment, welding operations, metal materials, and industrial processes
Fast-paced production setting focused on quality, efficiency, and safety
Hands-on role requiring frequent movement and physical activity throughout the workday
